Our vertical crack repair service addresses common cracks in poured concrete foundations. By utilizing Crack Stitching, we restore the structural integrity of your foundation, ensuring it remains stable and secure for the long term.
Cracks in corner walls can compromise the stability of your foundation. Our expert team uses Crack Stitching to effectively repair these cracks, ensuring your home remains structurally sound and protected from potential water intrusion.
Horizontal cracks often indicate more serious foundation issues. Our Crack Stitching technique not only repairs the crack but also reinforces the foundation, preventing further damage and maintaining the overall strength of your home's structure.
Overhead cracks in areas such as porch tops and garage floors can be a safety concern. Our Crack Stitching service offers a reliable solution to repair these cracks, restoring the strength and durability of these surfaces for years to come.
Crack stitching is an efficient method that does not require digging up your yard or damaging the exterior of your home. This means less disruption to your property and a quicker repair process.
Unlike some other foundation repair methods, crack stitching does not necessitate installing extra internal drainage systems. This saves you time and money while still providing an effective solution
Crack stitching is a relatively non-invasive process that generates very little dust and noise. This means a cleaner workspace for the repair team and less disturbance for you and your family during the repair process.
Our expert team conducts a thorough inspection of the foundation, assessing the type and severity of the crack. This step helps determine the most effective Crack Stitching solution for long-lasting results.
The crack is meticulously prepared by cleaning and ensuring that it is free of debris. Proper preparation is crucial for the success of the Crack Stitching repair, as it allows for optimal bonding of the epoxy injection.
The epoxy injection fills the crack, while carbon-fiber stitches provide additional reinforcement. This combination creates a strong bond that effectively seals the crack and prevents further movement or damage to the foundation.
After the Crack Stitching repair is complete, our team performs a final inspection to ensure the highest quality of workmanship. Once the repair is approved, the Written Lifetime Warranty is registered, offering you peace of mind
If the crack is actively leaking when our team is scheduled to perform the repair, it's important to inform them immediately. While the epoxies we use are suitable for wet cracks, actively leaking cracks present significant installation challenges. Our team will usually call the day before the scheduled repair to ensure everything is ready, and it's crucial to discuss any leaking at that time. If the crack is still leaking on the day of the repair, be sure to inform the team by 6 am. In case they arrive and are unable to complete the repair due to the leak, there will be a return trip charge added to the bill.
For the Crack Stitching repair process, we generally require at least 18 inches of clearance in front of the crack, 18 inches to the right of the crack, and 12 inches to the left of the crack. Additionally, a clear floor space of about 10 feet by 10 feet is needed directly in front of the crack for equipment setup. It's essential to ensure that stairs are completely cleared and that there is a minimum 30-inch wide pathway from the parking area to the repair site. If our team must clear the area for you or wait for you to clear it, there will be additional charges for time and materials used.
There can be a strong odor from the chemicals used in the Crack Stitching repair process. For most people, shutting off the furnace and opening windows should help mitigate the smell. Although we have never had anyone suffer ill health effects from this process, we recommend that nursing mothers, infants, or individuals with multiple chemical sensitivity take extra precautions, potentially even leaving the premises for a day or two.
In situations where a crack extends behind an obstacle that cannot be moved, the estimator will typically recommend a complete exterior repair or a combination repair. If the latter option is approved, our team will still attempt to make the resin flow into the obstructed area. However, it is essential to note that this part of the repair will be excluded from any warranty coverage.
We recommend that you wait twenty-four hours and then perform a water test on the repair area to ensure that the repair is secure. Then you can go ahead and close the wall up. A water test consists of laying a garden hose on the ground next to the crack and allowing the water to thoroughly saturate the ground adjacent to the crack. Be careful not to spray any water onto the wall above grade. The injection team will provide you with additional written instructions.
Our comprehensive suite of basement repair solutions has helped countless homeowners in Woodstock and surrounding areas in Ontario maintain dry, secure basements.
We strive to provide as clean a service as possible. To that end, we use vacuum attachments to make our equipment virtually dustless. Our vacuum even has a HEPA filter. The team’s shoes and boots are normally very clean but if there is fear of damage to flooring, they are more than happy to remove their shoes as they bring the materials and equipment in and out. Although all this effort will make yo guarantee a 100% dust free application. If there are sensitive electronics or other valuables in the vicinity, we recommend that you cover them.
As long as our team knows ahead of time in order to come prepared and to allow sufficient time, we would be happy to accommodate you. There will
be a 1hr minimum charge for this service. We will not, however, remove any framing that we consider to be a structural member.
